Greenwood Loch Holiday Park & Activity Centre

Greenwood Loch Holiday Park & Activity Centre is geared towards families who want plenty to do without leaving the grounds. Set across 200 acres of woodland and countryside in Aberdeenshire, it combines grass tent pitches with hardstanding touring pitches for caravans and campervans. Dogs are welcome, and the combination of organised activities, children’s play areas and woodland paths gives it the character of a full-service holiday park rather than a back-to-basics campsite. The park is at Fisherie, in the Turriff area.

On-site activities include archery, quad biking and bushcraft, alongside fishing, forest walks and bike hire. There is scope to mix more energetic sessions with time exploring the wooded grounds or fishing loch. Practical facilities include toilets, hot showers, laundry facilities and a shop, while the Blakeshouse Lounge Bar & Restaurant offers an alternative to cooking at your pitch. Barbecues are allowed when raised off the ground and used safely.

For days out, the wider area offers a contrast between inland heritage and the Banffshire coast. Delgatie Castle at Turriff is an option for a historic-house visit, with a café and shop. In Banff, Duff House is William Adam’s elaborate Georgian mansion, now a country house gallery displaying works from the National Galleries of Scotland. The coast also offers distinct harbour towns to explore: Banff has Georgian streets and a leisure marina, while Macduff remains a working fishing and cargo port. These make useful alternatives when you fancy a day away from the park’s activity programme.
