The longer Coastal Trail links Fishnish and Garmony along the rocky shore of the Sound of Mull, with views towards Morvern. Its uneven ground, muddy stretches and short steep slopes make it a more demanding walk than the woodland loop. Duart Castle offers a contrasting focus: the ancestral seat of Clan Maclean, its substantial keep and curtain walls overlook the Sound of Mull and Loch Linnhe.
