Loch Tummel Caravan Park Ardgualich Farm

Waterside grass pitches are the main draw at Loch Tummel Caravan Park Ardgualich Farm, a small, family-run campsite on a working farm. Tents and campervans are welcome, with pitching divided between an upper area with hardstanding and the lochside below. A few static caravans also occupy the site, but its character is basic and semi-wild rather than that of a large holiday park. Facilities include a communal toilet and shower block, and dogs are welcome.

Direct access to Loch Tummel makes the shoreline central to a stay here, whether you are bringing a small boat or considering a wild swim. There is no launch charge for your own small boat. The grassy waterside pitches will particularly appeal to campers who value being beside the water over an extensive range of facilities. The campsite opens from March to October and operates without advance booking. Pitlochry and Blair Atholl are a short drive away for shops, cafés and pubs.

For a different perspective on the loch, Queen’s View looks west along the water; Queen Victoria visited the viewpoint in 1866. Allean offers woodland exploration with historical interest, including a restored 18th-century homestead and the remains of an ancient fort overlooking Loch Tummel. For another outing, the Pass of Killiecrankie has paths through a wooded River Garry gorge, with a route from its visitor centre to Soldier’s Leap; expect steps and uneven ground on the descent.
