Quick Read Campsite Summary

Around five miles south of Aviemore, Dalraddy Holiday Park offers a choice between open-field camping and more tucked-away woodland pitches. The large camping field has room for around 50 tents, while the woodland pitches are bordered by trees on three sides. A third area, the quarry, occupies an enclosed, tree-ringed bowl with space for larger tents or groups camping together. This variety gives the park a different character depending on where you pitch, from open surroundings to more secluded corners.

Hardstanding pitches accommodate larger motorhomes and campervans, with campervans also welcome in the quarry and woodland areas. Electric hook-ups and water points are available across the camping areas, alongside toilets, showers and washing-up facilities. Dogs are welcome, the park opens all year, and pitches can be booked online. Aviemore is a short drive away for shops, restaurants and bars.

For walking, the Aviemore–Kincraig section of the Speyside Way passes through birch woodland and follows parts of the railway corridor before continuing above the River Spey towards Kincraig. A connecting track links the route with Dalraddy, making it a useful option for exploring on foot without tackling an entire long-distance stage. Further afield, Loch Morlich offers sandy shores and woodland walks beneath the Cairngorms. Its waymarked circuit is 3½ miles, while the shorter Beach Trail follows the loch shore and Allt Mor burn through pine, birch and alder woods. These are separate outings from the campsite rather than on-site trails.
