Woodlands Caravan Park Carnoustie

Woodlands Caravan Park Carnoustie is a small, family-run campsite in the Angus coastal town, with the town centre around ten minutes away on foot. Its roughly 50 pitches include grass and hardstanding in a range of sizes, with electric hook-up available on some pitches and non-electric options for tents and campervans. A modern toilet and shower block, laundry room and vegetable preparation area cover the practical essentials. Dogs are welcome, and stays can be booked online through the campsite’s website.

The location puts shops, bars, restaurants and a railway station within walking reach, making it straightforward to spend time in town without taking the vehicle out. Carnoustie’s Championship golf course is also a short walk from the park. Beyond the fairways, Carnoustie Bay has a mixture of sand and rock below the golf course, with rockpools and a beach path for exploring the seafront. For a longer outing, the coastal path runs east towards East Haven and Arbroath, following this stretch of the Angus coast.

Carnoustie’s heritage trail offers another way to explore on foot, with circular routes of approximately one and a half or four miles starting at Carnoustie Golf Hotel. The trails connect the town’s golfing history with older cottages, industrial landmarks and reminders of its fishing past. Barry Mill, in the village of Barry, adds a different local story: this working watermill preserves the machinery and setting of a trade that once served the surrounding community.
