Greenhillock Glamping and Camping

Five acres of wildflower meadow give Greenhillock Glamping and Camping its character: an open-field site with a semi-wild feel, where spending time outdoors is the main attraction. Set between Forfar and Carnoustie, north of Dundee, it has separate camping areas for families and adults, with dedicated fire pits and campfires actively encouraged. For those travelling without a tent, the two bell tents offer a more furnished option, with a double bed inside and outdoor furniture and a fire bowl outside. The emphasis remains on meadow camping and evenings around the fire rather than a conventional touring-park setting.

Days out can take you towards the Angus coast or into the area’s wooded country parks. Carnoustie Bay has a mixture of sand and rock beneath the town’s championship golf course, with the Sandy Sensation playpark behind the beach. East Haven, between Carnoustie and Arbroath, offers another coastal outing, with rockpools to explore at low tide; parking in the village is limited. For a change from the shore, Crombie Country Park has walking trails through woodland and around its reservoir, including options for visitors with dogs. These are separate excursions rather than walks starting from the campsite.
