Tantallon Caravan & Camping Park

Tantallon Caravan & Camping Park overlooks the East Lothian coast near North Berwick, with views towards the Bass Rock. Its spacious layout and range of accommodation suit both traditional camping holidays and stays with a few more comforts: there are grass and electric tent pitches, touring caravan and motorhome pitches, and wigwam glamping cabins. This is a large, equipped coastal park rather than a small, secluded campsite, with North Berwick and the surrounding beaches among its main attractions.

Practical facilities include toilet and shower blocks, laundry and dishwashing areas, electric hook-ups and WiFi. An on-site shop is useful for everyday essentials, while the children’s play area gives families another option between outings. Dogs are welcome. For a day exploring the coast’s history, Tantallon Castle has a massive red sandstone curtain wall above the sea and was once the stronghold of the Red Douglas dynasty. In North Berwick, the Scottish Seabird Centre’s Discovery Experience brings the offshore wildlife into closer focus through exhibits, films and live cameras overlooking the island colonies, including the Bass Rock’s northern gannets. Walkers can also consider North Berwick Law: this distinctive conical hill offers panoramic views across the Firth of Forth towards Fife, providing a different perspective on the coastline seen from the park.
