Banff Links Caravan Park

Banff Links Caravan Park puts the shoreline at the centre of a stay, with direct access to the long sandy stretch of Banff Links Beach on the Moray Firth. Grass pitches cater for tents, while hard-standing touring pitches accommodate caravans, campervans and motorhomes; many pitches have sea views. The coastal path runs directly past the park, making beach walks an easy part of the day rather than a separate outing. Dogs are welcome, and the site accepts families as well as couples and other touring visitors.

Practical facilities include toilets, hot showers, laundry and dishwashing areas. The park opens from March to October, with booking available online, by telephone or by email. Banff town is within walking distance for shops, cafés and pubs, giving campers the option of leaving their vehicle on site when heading out for supplies or a meal.

For local history, Banff’s harbour developed from an inner basin created in 1625, with later work by engineers John Smeaton and Thomas Telford shaping the harbour seen today. Duff House offers a different side of the town’s heritage: William Adam’s Georgian mansion houses a country house gallery displaying works from the National Galleries of Scotland. Its landscaped grounds also offer a change from coastal walking, with a route towards the Bridge of Alvah passing an ice house and neo-Gothic mausoleum.
