About Castle Point Caravan Site
Castle Point Caravan Park is a small campsite located near the site of an ancient Roman fort on a headland at the estuary of the river Urr. The site has grass and hardstanding pitches for both tents and campervans with elevated views of what the owners class as some of the best views in south west Scotland. The site has a toilert and shower block, electrical hook-up and is pet friendly (note, they cannot accommodate the following varieties of dog and their hybrids: Pit Bull Terrier, Japanese Tosa, Dogo Argentino, Rottweiler, Fila Brasileiro, XL Bully and Stafford Terrier). There are three sandy beaches within a short walk where water sports or wild swimming is possible, further afield there are plenty of walks and historic sights to explore. Booking is possible online via the official website or by phoning ahead.
