Nethercraig Holiday Park

Nethercraig Holiday Park has a secluded touring area separate from its main caravan park, with hardstanding pitches for campervans and an open grass area for tents. Set in quiet farmland around four miles from Alyth, it offers woodland walks directly from the site. Electric hook-up is available, alongside toilets, showers, washing-up facilities and an on-site shop. Dogs are welcome, and glamping huts offer an alternative to bringing your own tent or campervan.

Alyth is a useful starting point for exploring the surrounding countryside. On its western edge, the Den of Alyth is a wooded glen with paths beside and across the Alyth Burn, and signed links towards Alyth Hill. Parts of the Den have been affected by a landslip, so visitors should observe closure signs and avoid the affected area. Its protected woodland gives a different character to a day out from the more open farmland around the park.

Another local outing is Reekie Linn at Bridge of Craigisla, north of Alyth, where two joined waterfalls tumble through a wooded gorge on the River Isla. There is a parking area immediately north of the bridge, with picnic tables and information about the geology and birdlife. The approach path passes close to the gorge edge, with sheer drops, so care is needed, particularly with children and dogs.
