Bonchester Bridge Camping & Caravan Park

Bonchester Bridge Riverside Park is a quiet and peaceful Scottish Borders campsite located within the village of Bonchester. The site is open during the Summer months and has a mixture of pitches for tents and campervans, some pitches benefiting from electric hook up and riverside views but all are suitable for tents and campervans. During the month of August there is a larger open grass area which is also available to book for tents. All of the pitches are well proportioned, meaning they are suitable for tents, trailer tents, roof tents, motorhomes, campervans, tourers and anything else! There is virtually no mobile signal, however, there is free wifi in the Horse & Hounds pub next door, which also offers food and drink. There is a modern toilet & shower bock which also houses washing facilities and charging points. A short drive away you will find Hawick (6 miles) which has everything you need to stock up, and for those who love whisky it is the home of The Borders Distillery (tours run daily). Fire pits are available to rent from the campsite office where fires are permitted so long as they are off the grass and a safe distance from tents (fire wood available to purchase or bring your own). It is possible to paddle in the river, this is done at your own risk and should only be done by competent swimmers and during times of the river running low and slow.
