About Wick River Campsite
Small family run quiet campsite located just outside the Highland town of Wick, catering for campervans and tents on grass pitches. The site overlooks the River Wick in a secluded spot with grass pitches surrounded by trees. A short walk away (5 minutes) is the town of Wick where you will find pubs, restaurants and two open air sea swimming pools for a spot of semi-wild swimming (The Trinkie and the North Baths). Also located in the town of Wick is Old Pulteney Distillery which offers regular tours and tastings. There is also an 18-hole golf course to the north which overlooks one of the stunning golden sandy beaches in the area. The site not only sits on the NC500 route but is also a great place to stop off when visiting Orkney where regular boat services depart from John O’Groats which is 20 miles to the East (day trips possible).
