Kneep Campsite Uig

Kneep campsite is located on the grassy dunes of Traigh na Beirigh bay on the Isle of Lewis. This is one of two campsites run by the Uig Community where the other sits further down the coast on Uig Sands. Kneep campsite is sure to tick all the boxes for campers looking for that perfect beach campsite with it’s the huge white sandy bay offering excellent walking, ball sports and sandcastle building. The turquoise blue water offers an excellent place to wild swim, kayak or canoe. The site has a modern clean toilet, shower (£1 a go) and kitchen unit available for use with electrical hook up available on 12 pitches. For whisky fans, Abhainn Dearg Distillery is located a short drive away but for anyone looking to leave the car and sample a few drams during a tour we would recommend staying at Ardroil Sands campsite which is walkable to the distillery.
