Rothiemurchus Camping Caravan Park

Rothiemurchus campsite is a small but well positioned site where you can pitch up amongst the towering pine trees and take in the stunning surroundings. Because trees grow naturally every pitch is different so depending on your tent size will depend on the pitch you are assigned. Because of this online booking is not possible, instead you must email or phone ahead to secure your pitch (you can also just turn up but pre-booking is advisable). The site also has 17 sheltered level pitches for caravans and campervans all with electric hook up. Unfortunately, dogs are NOT permitted in the tent area but are permitted for campervans and caravans. There are plenty activities nearby with Rothiemurchus themselves offering quad biking, archery, fishing, bike hire and much much more. Further afield is Aviemore (45 min walk) with a train station, pub’s, shops and restaurants. In the opposite direction is Loch Morlich where wild swimming and water sports are possible (1 hour walk). If you are heading in either direction there is a dedicated cycling and walking path to keep you away from the very busy road. The campsite has a semi-wild camping feel to it but offers hot showers and a toilet block.
