Crakaig Loth Campsite

Crakaig Loth Campsite, also known as Crackaig Beach Campsite is a small, basic campsite located on the NC500 trail just outside of the village of Brora with a spectacular sandy beach and stunning coastal views. The campsite offers campers a semi-wild feel camping experience with the confirms of a toilet and shower block (no drinking water or electrical hook up). Be aware to access this site you must pass through a rather narrow tunnel so only really suitable for smaller campervans (see photos). Pitches are set on the grass and within the dunes looking out towards the stunning beach and North Sea. From the site, you can wild-swim, take a long walk along the coast or relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Nearby you will find the village of Brora which has pubs, shops, restaurants and home to the recently re-opened Brora Distillery (Clynelish Distillery is also located within Brora). Campfires are permitted within the grass and the beach where the site owner will sell you firewood for £5 if needed. There is no formal booking process for this site, just turn up, pitch up anywhere you like and the owner will stop by (prices in 2023 were £20 a night).
