Riverside Chalet And Campsite

Small campsite located in the village of Contin, Strathpeffer (Highlands) on the banks of the River Blackwater. This site is suitable for tents and small campervans on grass pitches, the site is located next to the river where wild swimming is possible. This is a semi-wild style site with a toilet and shower block available on site. Locally there is a shop within the village and a coffee shop only a short walk away (Coffee Bothy at the Smiddy), further afield you will find plenty of Munros to hike, the tow of Inverness and also plenty of whisky distilleries (Glen Ord is the closest). Fishing is possible directly from the river however you must purchase a permit from the campsite office prior to doing so. The site also benefits of being located on the NC500 route and makes a great stop over point if driving or cycling.
