Isle of Gigha Campsite

New campsite located on the small Island of Gigha a short walk from the ferry port and located next to a sandy beach. The Isle of Gigha can be reached via a short (20 minute) ferry crossing from Tayinloan on Kintyre (Route run by Cal Mac Ferries where pre-booking is not required, turn up and go service). Once on the island you can expect sandy beaches, clear turquoise seas (perfect for wild swimming), stunning views and amazing sunsets. There are also many archaeological and historic sites to explore. The campsite opened in August 2022 and offers a mixture of hardstanding and grass pitches for campervans and tents. Electrical hook up and waste disposal is available along with a modern toilet & shower block which also houses a washing up area. Although no fires are permitted there is a communal fire pit and BBQ’s are possible if raised from the ground. A short walk away you will find the Gigha Hotel, The Nook Sea Food takeaway and the Boat House Restaurant where you can get some excellent local food and plenty of beer to wash it down in the bar. The island is small and easy to navigate with plenty to explore, for golfers there is a golf course 1 mile away. It is recommended that you pre-book your pitch online prior to boarding the ferry (book a pitch via the campsites official website).
